Sunshine Technology establishes sustainable commercial forestry plantations in tropical and sub-tropical regions, combining the most technically and economically effective silviculture available with proven management methods and low establishment costs. Our forestry plantations will produce wood for timber, bioenergy, and where possible, carbon credits.

Our aim is to be a commercial forestry plantation company that produces attractive returns to our investors while having a positive social and environmental impact.

We seek to acquire long-term rights to land in tropical and sub-tropical non-industrialised countries that is suitable for establishing sustainable forestry plantations for timber and bioenergy and, if possible, eligible for carbon credits.

PLANNING MANAGER

Job qualifications:

• Responsible for legal compliance with IUPHHK- HT license requirements such as production of the RKU(10 year plan) and RKT annual plan
  
• Produce monthly audit reports on compliance with forest policy, forest safety and FSC compliance.
  
• Produce 6 monthly and annual reports on Micro forest Integrity
  
• Produce a quarterly report on planting and a forestation progress for submission to STG Board.
  
• Draw up Apo for approval by GM for submission to Dept Forestry and implementation by Operations Manager
  
• Establish TSP’s and PSP’s for generation of local growth models.
  
• Production of accurate and relevant maps and mapping info through the use of:
  • Operational information
    
  • Ground trusting all plantation and compartment boundaries.
    
  • Liaison with Micro forest
    
  • Manage surveyors in districts and ensure all surveying is accurate.
    
  • Obtain and ensure accurate radar and satellite data is available.
• Complete initial verification and report on forestry potential on all new land made available to STG in Indonesia.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech Forestry Degree/BSc Forestry Degree or other relevant qualifications
  
• 5 years practical experience in a forestry planning division.
  
• Physically fit and capable of doing strenuous field work.
  
• Above average computer skills required.
  
• Extensive experience in GIS use and implementation is a pre-requisite.
  
• Fluency in English is a pre-requisite

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Your key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out mapping duties based on the schedule from the Planning Manager
  
• Coordinating with plantation surveyors for the on going Progress and finished plantation Work.
  
• Manipulation of available GIS data to aid with management plans and assessment of new areas
  
• Directly reporting any mapping changes to the Planning Manager for authorisation and inclusion into MicroForest.
  
• Responsible for good team work and coordination with others.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirements: DIII with 3 years experiences or S1 Fresh Graduate
  
• Post School education and training: Plantation Basic knowledge and operational activity would be useful
  
• Experience in Arc View, Mapinfo / Globalmapper preferable.
  
• Able to travel for projects as required within Indonesia
  
• Passive verbal and written skills in English
  
• Possess valid driver’s license
  
• Highly independent and be able to work with little supervision
  
• Self starter and able to thrive under pressure
