PT. SAS Heavy Industry (PT SHI) , a well established heavy steel fabricator located in Batam, Indonesia in the field of engineering and construction for offshore oil & gas industry and power industry.

PT SHI provides advanced engineering design and fabrication services to clients in the Oil & Gas and Power companies worldwide. In the manufacturing facility in Batam, heat transfer equipment, pressure vessels, skid packages, onshore & offshore modules & structures, floating crane & barges, steel structures for industrial plants such as refineries, petrochemicals, power plants are fabricated with high-tech equipment, fully automatic machineries and latest software systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow through all Purchase Requisitions raised by requestors
  
• To ensure timely delivery of parts for production
  
• Source and negotiate for parts that meet both customer’s specification and cost objectives
  
• Strive continuously for lower purchase cost and longer credit terms
  
• Attend to requests for quotations as assigned promptly by internal users
  
• Review with suppliers on part quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are taken by suppliers or service providers
  
• Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor

Requirements:

• Male/Female age 25 years and below
  
• Possess a D3/S1 Technical Diploma/Degree, min. GPA 3.0
  
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience and sourcing/buying in mechanical raw materials in yard environment
  
• Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Able to source widely with aggressive pricing for all parts and establish good network with suppliers or service providers, e.g. forwarders
  
• Independent, resourceful and has initiative in solving problem
  
• Resourceful, responsible, has a strong sense of urgency and good time management skill
  
• Must have good working and moral etiquette
  
• Bilingual in English and Bahasa Indonesia both oral and written
  
• Willing to travel when required
  
• Willing to be based in Batam
  
• Interview will be conducted in Batam
