POWER PROJECT & ELECTRICAL SUPPORT
1. Superintendent - Power Station, T&D Project (Code : SPES 1)

3. Superintendent-Electrical Project CHF & Bengalon (Code : SPES 3)
Key elements of the position include :
- To lead, supervise and manage functions of the section and ensure that safety, environmental, quality and cost control parameters end contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Initiate and develop the Section s annual plan to determine key priorities, consistent with KPC s and the Divisions business goals and set the direction or the team.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how the section adds value to the organization, make decisions that are clearly linked to the business strategy
- Develop a project plan, including, for example, timeilnes and inputs and outputs at various stages.
- Identify potential problems and risks and develops contingency/mitigation plans to deal with them. Oversees implementation of the protect plan, monitors progress, resource usage, and quality, and makes needed adjustments.
- Identity resources needed to complete the project.
- As a guide, possess S1 in electrical / control system engineering with 8 (eight) years plus or D3 in electrical / control system engineering with 10 (ten) years plus of relevant industry / management experiences.
- Possess extensive experiences and proven skits in running service /operation maintenance and production facilities in the mining or industry, preferably involving remote or develop locations and people management issues.
- Have an understanding of how to operate manage and improve the functions of a department s section including engineering, procurement and construction of fixed plant s electrical and control systems of the expansion projects.
OVERLAND CONVEYOR & COAL TERMINAL PROJECTS (OLC & CT)
1. Superintendent - Overland Conveyor & Port Stockyard (Code: SOLC 1)
2. Superintendent - Marine Facilities (Code : SOLC 2)
3. Superintendent - Share Facilities (Code : SOLC 3)
Key elements of the position include:
- Apply project management techniques to lead and administer the project management functions.
- Cordinate the implementation of scientific principles and techniques in multi discipline engineering situations to deliver the outcomes.
- Implement agreed scope management procedures arid processes.
- Implement effective procedures, information system, and communication lines as required for the project delivery,
- Implement proper system to monitor and control the project delivery against the agreed scope, time, quality, cost and safety parameters.
- Produce project cost estimates and regularly monitor project costs against budget
- Carryout tender technical evaluation.
- Measure arid perceive protect progress and act on potential or actual risks.
- Produce and administer project documentation.

- Prepare technical specification and scope document for supply and site construction of mechanical items.
- Contribute to mechanical design development as part of the entire project.

- Produce technical reports and documentation associated with project.
Main Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical engineering background and minimum 8 (eight) years working experience in bulk material handling field with determining roles in capital projects in the last 5 (five) years or equivalent.
- Suitable balance between technical and managerial skills.
- Conversant with project management tools and techniques.
- Proven experience and knowledge in bulk material handling equipment design and installation standards.
COAL CRUSHING AND HANDLING (CHF) PROJECT
1. Superintendent - Coal Crushing and Handling Facility Project (Code: SCHF)
Key elements of the position include :
- Identify and carry-out all tasks associated with projects completion meeting the targets set by CHF Development Manager.
- Manage and coordinate the process of design, specification tendering, purchase, Installation and commissioning o) mechanical equipment for the New CHF and OLC Plant.
- Negotiate with main contractors to get good services within cost quality and KPC standards and monitor the delivery of purchased items against specification.
- Manage and coordinate the process of scope of work preparation and establishment tendering, contract administration, and implementation schedule of mechanical construction work packages.
- Monitor the implementation of mechanical construction work packages and control the process against time, cost, scope changes, quality and safety parameters agreed with contractors.
- Manage and monitor actual project cost against budget.
- Maintain safety standards within the section as defined by the requirements of the KPC SHE policy and actively lead and support the ongoing development of safety/environment awareness and training among all members of the Section.
- Source, engage and manage contracted engineer, external and internal consultant providing project function services to complement the Section Team Members during an increasing workload period.
- Manage complete project documentation to provide accurate and detailed project data.
Main Qualifications & Experience :
- Possess a tertiary qualification degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
- Minimum 8 years working experience in coal handling plant (crushing plant, washing plant conveying equipment, coal terminal and port facilities) including involvement in wide variety of mechanical projects.
- Suitable balance between technical and managerial skills.
- Knowledge and experience in project management as well as mechanical installation techniques and standards.
CIVIL SERVICES & BENGALON PROJECTS
1. Superintendent - Civil Project (code : SCP)
2. Superintendent - Civil Services (code : SCS)
PROJECT ENGINEER CIVIL (CODE: PEC)
Key elements of the position include :
- Apply scientific principles and techniques in civil engineering situations.
- Prepare technical specification and scope document for supply and site construction of civil work packages,
- Contribute to civil design development as part of the entire project.
- Supervise site construction works to ensure compliance with project specification.
- Undertake project management activities in accordance with agreed project management plan
- Monitor aspects of project scope, quality, time, cost, and HSE matters to ensure compliance to agreed project plan.
- Produce technical reports and documentation associated with project.
Main Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering with good academic standing.
- Minimum 3 (three) years working experience with the similar role (preferably mining industry).
PROJECT ENGINEER- MECHANICAL (CODE: PEM)
Key elements of the position include :
- Apply scientific principles and techniques in mechanical engineering situations.
- Prepare technical specification and scope document for supply and site construction of mechanical items.
- Contribute to mechanical design development as part of the entire project.
- Supervise mechanical equipment fabrication and installation
- Undertake project management activities in accordance with agreed project management plan
- Monitor aspects of project scope, quality, time, cost, and HSE matters to ensure compliance to agreed project plan.
- Produce technical reports and documentation associated with project.
Main Qualifications & Experience :
- Mechanical engineering background with good academic standing.
- Minimum 3 (three) years working experience in fixed plant (preferably bulk material handling) with exposure to capital projects.
PROJECT ENGINEER ELECTRICAL (CODE: PEE)
Key elements of the position include :
- Apply scientific principles and techniques in electrical engineering situations.
- Prepare technical specification and scope document for supply and site Installation of electrical items.
- Contribute to electrical design development as part of the entire project.
- Supervise electrical equipment fabrication and installation
- Undertake project management activities in accordance with agreed project management plan
- Monitor aspects of project scope, quality, time, cost, and HSE matters to ensure compliance to agreed project plan.
- Produce technical reports and documentation associated with project.
Main Qualifications & Experience :
- Possess S1 in electrical / control system engineering with at least 3 (three) years relevant mining/industry experiences or D3 with at least 7 years relevant mining/industry experiences.
