Minimum Qualication:
- The holder must have a minimum of 5 years relevant offshore experience in a supervisory position undertaking work commensurate with that of the Sapura 3000 and covering both surface and subsea marine construction operations as follows: Rigid and Flexible Pipelay, Heavy lift operations inclusive of jacket installation, Anchored and DP positioned vessels and barges, Diving and ROV Operations.
- Complete the worksite familiarization course for Shift Supervisor.
- DP familiarization course.
- Successful completion of the CAAP scheme for this position.
- Current valid medical and survival training as appropriate for the position.
- Formal engineering qualification or a suitable level of operational experience in offshore construction commensurate with the operations of the Sapura 3000.
- The Shift Supervisor shall ensure that safety is paramount and that all work is performed in a safe manner, He shall lead by example in this respect at all times without compromise. In particular, he shall ensure HSE compliance (project and corporate procedures and policy’s) with an emphasis on good working practice and adherence to PPE policy. This shall also include subcontractors, client and any other third parties.
- Attend shifts briefs / JSA’s prior to commencing his allocated work period / shift as required.
- Deliver Tool box talks, JSA’s and pre-shift briefs to personnel under his command prior to them commencing work.
- Ensure that all personnel under his command work safely and in accordance with the Company policies and procedures covering HSE and Quality without compromise.
- Ensure that Personnel under his command carry out Tool box talks and JSA’s as appropriate.
- Work in accordance with the Task Plan and ensure that any necessary deviations are managed in accordance with the Management of Change Procedure.
- Ability to work in changing meteorological conditions without compromising safety or quality.
- BSc/BEng – any relevant discipline
- The holder must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with 2 years operational experience in Subsea, Marine, Pipe lay, Heavy lift, Diving and/or ROV operations. Must have a sound understanding of the engineering requirements, principles and disciplines related to the offshore construction industry.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to plan and manage work scope and people within a discipline.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight to meet quality and schedule requirements
- Willingness to travel and work at remote job sites including offshore
- Fluent in English, with good oral and written communication skills
- HSE and Quality Management acumen with emphasis on process

- The Technical Manager (TM) is responsible for the safe, efficient and sound technical delivery of project.
- Throughout the project life cycle, the TM shall be accountable for technical delivery of the project by providing engineering which is safe and efficient and in line with industry codes and practices, statutory regulations, client specification, and project commercial goals.
- The TM shall ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner, making safety paramount, ensuring safety in design, and by leading by example in this respect. Engineering produced under the direction of the TM shall be ensured to reduce risks to ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Possible).
- The TM shall ensure quality assurance and quality control of Project engineering deliverables.
- The TM shall define, plan, track and execute work scopes within the requirements of the project scope and schedule.
- The TM shall ensure technical queries and deviations from all parties are properly tracked and managed.
- The TM shall ensure compliance with SapuraAcergy Management System particularly the Design and construction Engineering (DCE) process and identify improvements to the DCE system to overcome any barriers to the successful technical delivery of the project.
- The TM shall highlight project risks and opportunities and clearly communicate these to the Project Manager.
- The TM shall develop and lead a high performance team by establishing clear roles and responsibilities, building positives relationships with stakeholders that highlight their impact on the success of the project.
- The TM in conjunction with the project and engineering manager shall secure the necessary resources from the support functions to enable the successful technical delivery of the project.
- The TM shall develop a relationship with the client and fulfil the technical requirements of the Contract in a safe and efficient manner.

- The holder must have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Must have a basic understanding of the engineering requirements, principles and disciplines related to the offshore construction industry. - The PE shall be accountable for delivery of his or her assigned tasks in line with the direction of the Project Management Team.
- The PE shall seek clarification from others to ensure clear understanding of the tasks assigned.
- The PE shall accurately report task progress.
- The PE shall record and report events and progress at worksites at which he or she may be required.
- The PE shall comply with SapuraAcergy Management System particularly the Design and Construction Engineering (DCE) process and identify and report improvements to the DCE system.
- The PE shall participate in feed back ‘lessons learnt’ to the organisation.
- Bachelor in Engineering – Mechanical, Civil or any equivalent
- The holder must have a minimum of 4 years operational experience in Subsea, Marine, Pipelay, Heavy lift, Diving, ROV Operations.
- Be familiar with and understand fully the SASB procedures and policies.
- Ensure best practice management towards maintaining safe systems of work. In particular ensure that procedures are followed, risk assessments performed and appropriate time-out for Safety sessions are taken, toolbox talks are carried out and where necessary, Management of Change procedure is rigorously and correctly implemented.
- Review, understand and ensure compliance with Emergency Responce Plan and bridging documentation between SASB and SASB subcontractors systems.
- Promote and develop on offshore safety culture in alignment with SASB expectations.
- Ensure that subcontractors personnel, when working offshore, fully understand and comply with SASB HSE requirements.
- Review and understand the principal project contractual and commercial conditions (briefing and written summary to be provided by Project Manager).
- Review and understand the project schedule and any constrains.
- Review and understand roles and responsibilities of sub subcontractors and their liabilities.
- Ensure worksite procedures and forms included in SAIMS are adhered to and communicated to the vessel.
- Ensure compliance of 3rd party vessels to SASB procedures.
- Maintain a close operational communication with the vessel and Project Manager. Clearly demonstrate leadership, managerial and organisational skills.
- Assist an all logistics matters.

- Complete regular familiarisation briefing to personnel under his direction with relevant SASB Policies and Procedures.

- Approximately 10 years operational experience in Subsea Construction Operations and a sound understanding of the engineering, legal and commercial requirements related to the working environment.

- Management and execution of assigned projects, in full accordance with legislative, contractual, procedural, and budgetary constraints.
- Establishing, implementing, and reporting project budgets, clearly defining all areas of cost, revenue and areas of concern.
- Planning, preparing, scheduling, and organising all resources and services necessary to perform a project or tender.
- Communicating project parameters to all personnel involved in a project. This includes onshore and offshore personnel both direct and indirect.
- Building a professional working relationship with the customer.
- Preparation and approval of final reports to the customer.
- Ensuring a suitable contract or agreement document exists to cover the services being provided by the Company and likewise, to ensure any sub-contract agreements are established with suppliers.
- Ensuring contract invoices are produced and submitted on a timely basis for all services rendered by the Company. Monitor payments within contractually allotted time periods.
- Checking, validating and approving suppliers invoices. Following up any disputes to arrive at an early settlement/resolution.
- On completion of contracts, analysing all areas of project performance for the purpose of identifying any areas where improvements can be made in the future.
- Attending and contributing to Management Meetings.
- Contributing to overall company planning and future strategy in conjunction with other Departments.
- Ensuring the Company HSEQ policy is correctly adhered to by allocated project personnel.
- Identifying appropriate technical, operational and safety training for project team personnel to meet project requirements.
