INTERNATIONAL SHIPYARD COMPANY Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Construction Manager, QA/QC Manager - FIRCROFT

Our clients, an International Shipyard Company in Vietnam, are currently looking for these positions:

Project Manager (jack-up rig)
  • Set up, operate project team and be responsible for project overall management including Planning, Engineering, Construction, Launching, Commissioning, HSE, QA/QC and other issues related to Procurement for the execution of the project.
  • Shall be responsible for the overall management and operation of the project in accordance to the company policy as set forth without any deviation to contract requirement.
  • Shall be well-versed with the Contractor requirement and execute the work in accordance with the requirement.
  • Prepare all basic planning documents required to monitor and control the project.
  • Shall be responsible for the management and organizing of the project.
  • At least 10-year experience in engineering/construction/project manager position in jack-up rig building industry.
  • Experience in fabrication yard establishment.
  • Strong organization, management, and technical judgment skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Must have at least a B.A degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering engineer degree.
  • Working language must be English for at least the last 5 years.
  • Computer literature: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project.
  • Familiar with Primavera, 3D Smart Marine / TRIBON / PDMS
  • Familiar with Le Tourneau design is advantage.
Engineering Manager (jack-up rig)
  • At least 5 years (or completed 2 Jack up projects) experience in engineering manager position in new building jack-up rig.
  • Experience in fabrication yard establishment
  • Strong organization, management, and technical judgment skills;
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities;
  • Must have at least a B.A degree or equivalent
  • Working language must be English for at least the last 5 years.
  • Computer literature: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project;
  • Familiar with Primavera, Auto CAD, 3D Smart Marine / TRIBON / PDMS
  • Worked as Engineering Manager for new building jack up rig of LTI design is advantage.
  • To assist Project Manager managing the project and organizing the project management team for the engineering of the project.
  • Detail review on the 60m water depth Jack up Project Technical Specification, report to Shipyard the highlight concern areas to suitable for Super 116E model and Class requirements.
  • Review and comment to ensure completeness of the approved basic design package supplied by LTI
  • Report to Shipyard on the areas of concern, completeness and ensure the basic design package is in compliance to the class requirements and regulations.
  • Check with Shipyard for any amendments on the basic design and perform feasibilities studies for the amendments if the design LeT Super 116E can fulfill Owner s requirements.
  • To assist to liaise with LTI and classification society to incorporate the valid amendments in the basic design package until final basic design package approved and received from Classification Society.
  • Responsible established and managed systems, organization, procedures and policies for engineering teams to ensure the detail engineering carry out are qualities and meet schedules.

Construction Manager (jack-up rig)

  • To assist Project Manager to manage/organize the project management team and schedule for the execution of the project
  • Undertake overall technical management for construction and outfitting works
  • To co-ordinate with Company engineering team, and Project Management Team on all related fabrication matters, by establishing direct communication with all stated departments
  • To co-ordinate all constructability and outfitting reviews, technical and operational inputs for engineering and procurement
  • To manage interface between PV Shipyard s construction group and Company s construction group
  • To oversee the development of schedule and ensure fabrication plan meets Project requirements
  • To be responsible for on-site resolution of all fabrication related issues
  • To review fabrication, construction outfitting procedures and issue Project specific fabrication procedures as required,
  • To be responsible for all aspects of fabrication to ensure fabrication works are performed in accordance with Project contractual and specification requirements
  • To be responsible for technical input and work management of sub-contractors
  • Evaluates in cooperation with the Project Risk & HSE Manager all risks related to the project activities and proposes mitigation or correction measures
  • Weekly and Monthly report to Deputy Project Manager and Project Manager the construction status;
  • At least 5 years (or completed 2 Jack up projects) experience in Construction Manager position in jack-up rig building industry.
  • Experience in fabrication yard establishment.
  • Strong organization, management, and technical judgment skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Computer literature: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project.
  • Familiar with Primavera, Auto CAD, Microsoft office, 3D Smart Marine / TRIBON / PDMS
  • Familiar with Le Tourneau design is advantage

QA/QC Manager (jack-up rig)

  • At least 5 years (or completed 2 Jack up projects) experience in QA/QC manager position in jack-up rig building industry or equivalent project.
  • Experience in establishment the QA/QC system for the yard and project.
  • Strong organization, management, and technical judgment skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Must have at least a B.A degree or equivalent in QA/QC field
  • Working language must be English for at least the last 5 years.
  • Work as QA/QC manager for marine shipyard is advantage.
  • Managing all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities related to the project.
  • Set-up and development QA/QC team to ensure that team able to control quality of the project to meet Project Quality Plan and satisfied by client. (all QA/QC team shall be Vietnamese except QA/QC manager)
  • Preparing Project Quality Plan, Outline Inspection & Test Plan, establish project procedure register and time completion together with responsible section for each procedure. Review and supervise project produce ensure they are complete in timely and consistence to Project Quality Plan.
  • Coordinating and support other section of PMT in order to complete the project successfully in timely and quality.
  • Establish and implement an audit schedule for all section of PMT and have corrective and preventive action (if any) to ensure that they are running smoothly.
  • Identify all quality works and establish a suitable plan for manpower. And also manage QA/QC team to monitor/ control all fabrication activities to ensure all activities are following approval procedure
  • Control NDT contractors and fabrication contractors ensure that they are compliance with our quality system.
  • Review/comment/ approve for vendors documentation as required.
  • Coordinate and report to CLASSIFICATION SOCIETIES of project to ensuring that the quality system are undertaken and reported in accordance with the code and standard requirements
