The name TRANS7 was established in 2006 due its shares ownership by Trans Corpora, a part Member of Trans Corp Company. TRANS7 domiciled in Jakarta and operated as a commercial televison committed to presenting the best broadcasting programs for the audience across Indonesia, such as Opera Van Java (popular comedy opera) and Bukan Empat Mata (popular talk show). In 2008, TRANS7 through Opera Van Java received an award from Japan Prize 2008 as Runner Up Primary Category, The Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize: My Dreams Professions (Cita-citaku) Eps. "Coral Reefs Conservator".
