• Identifies the Project requirements and constraints
  
• Takes part in the Project planning and scheduling in particular for the Construction/commissioning sequence.
  
• Prepares the General and Executive Construction Plans, defining the construction procedures, logistics, scheduling of activities, tools and methods of monitoring and control
• Ensures the implementation of the computer systems for the management and control of site activities
  
• Takes part to the Constructability meetings, ensuring the Constructability is thoroughly applied and implemented at all phases of the Project.
  
• Attends at the Project Review meetings, making sure that the Construction requirements have been duly complied with the requirements
• Takes part in the preparation, for his field of expertise, of the HSE Plan.
  
• Ensures the issue of the HSE Manual for Construction
  
• Issues the Purchase Requisitions (RdA) and Technical Evaluations falling within his field of competence
• Assesses the man-hours required for the Construction phase

• Sets up and executes assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Discipline, coordination with other disciplines requirements and inputs in pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimisation in term of costs, fabrication simplicity and safety.
  
• Prepares design specifications for Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems, and coordinates the design for other buildings services systems such as electrical, telecommunications, fire and gas detection, fire fighting inside buildings.
  
• Supervises/Approves HVAC and building services design and constructive drawings
  
• Implements discipline follow-up and assist field engineering activities.
  
• Assistance with QC inspection activities notably fats and string tests
  
• Issues the part of the REX in accordance with the scope of piping material section after contract completion
• Collect project feed backs for continuous improvement implementation

• Designs, executes or checks the typical Piping and Layout studies including:
  
• 3D design and model review with other disciplines and issue of clash check report Construction or design drawings using 2D software or extracted from 3D for piping networks (overall plot plan, equipment layout drawings, piping general arrangement, piping isometrics piping supports) bill of materials or material take off,extraction of bill of materials and other information from the 3D CAD model
• Organizes the work of his team and follow-up the planning of the resources mobilisation
• Co-ordinates the work of his team with the Piping and Layout engineers of the project.
  
• Checks the input data and all the documents and information issued by his team
  
• Checks permanently that all the assumptions upon which is based his team work keep up with the project development and warn the project Piping and Layout Lead of any detected anomaly.
  
• Supervises the update of the documents after comments issued by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders (Client, Yards, Third party review, etc.)
  
• Feeds the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the project.

• Concept-to-completion development of electro-mechanical equipment/machinery products.
  
• Includes preparing costings, compiling system/performance design specifications, mechanical design of parts, subassemblies and top-level assembly, sourcing/integrating off-the-shelf/custom components/parts (blowers/motors/hardware/controls/filters/molded/extruded parts), prototyping, testing/validation, documentation/training/handover.
  
• Participate in / follow the prototyping process, from sheet metal fabrication, to assembly and testing, in order to identify areas for improvement, to strive to Design for Manufacturing / Assembly / Service.
  
• Vendor/supplier liaison for sourcing, vendor selection, qualification, first article inspection, and continuous improvement, especially for custom molded/extruded parts.
  
• Clearly organize/structure the Product Structure Definition, to enable part/sub-assembly re-use, design platform modularity, and project risk minimization.
  
• Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Work Instructions and Process Sheets including Bending/Forming Drawings, Welding Instructions, Assembly Work Instructions, Test Procedures and others.
  
• Drive from a "Systems-Perspective" the development of User/Operator and Service Manuals, collating/compiling information from other functional Engineering specialities (Electrical, Embedded Hardware, Software, Regulatory Approvals, etc.)
  
• New Product Introduction support including Shop Floor Training, Pilot Run, First Article Burn-In/Inspection, Quarantine (As-Needed), Safe Launch.
  
• Technology transfer support for transfer of technology/knowledge from overseas facilities from design, functional specifications, manufacturing line set up, processes, tooling, fixtures and other related areas.
  
• Seasoned mechanical design engineer able to deliver quality projects/designs on time and within cost budget.
  
• Independent, able to manage own project plan/budget/schedule.
  
• Team player, able to integrate with a cross-functional team (Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems Hardware and Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Regulatory Approvals, Purchasing/Procurement, Manufacturing/Production, Quality Control, Product Management, Technical Service, etc.), to deliver a validated, documented, quality electro-mechanical system on time and within budget.
  
• Review, approve and implement Engineering Change Requests/Notifications/Orders.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, related field, or relevant industry experience.
  
• Some Systems Engineering experience.
  
• 3+ years of experience in designing equipment/machinery products.
  
• Sheet metal design experience a plus.
  
• Familiar with New Product Development / NPD / NPI processes.
  
• Knowledge of 3D design software (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer or SolidEdge) a must.
  
• Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software such as Dassault Systems ENOVIA/MatrixOne, PTC WindChill, Siemens TeamCenter would be a plus.
• Project management experience a must.
