Senior Project Management Engineer (Ref. No. 460710)
Based in Balikpapan & Jakarta
This important role in The Lampunut Coal Project is to co ordinate the design, capital costing and execution strategies to construct a new 3.5 mtpa coal mine in central Kalimantan including coal processing plant, mine site infrastructure, camp and the transport and logistics corridor to support the operation. A critical part of the role is to ensure compliance with the companies “Zero Harm” policies and HSE&C goals.
The successful candidate will report to Mine Development Manager and the principle accountabilities are: Co coordinating all aspects of the design phase for the Lampunut Stage 1 Project, including controlling budget allocation and highlighting areas of concern re costs and schedule, development of the contracting Strategy for the construction phase, identifying the risk in the project and follow-up corrective actions, preparation of the execution plans for the construction phase and the preparation of the documentation for the approval of the project. The role will have extensive interactions with other areas of the project team, contractors, consultants and supply agreements include dispute resolution.
To be considered for this position, the minimum requirements are bachelor degree, preferably in Engineering, at least 5 years post graduate experience in varied position, including development of engineering designs, supervision of external consultants, project controls and construction responsibility. You must have experience in construction of large civil projects in remote locations including major earthworks and marine operations, QA/QC, leadership, team building, ability to make decisions under pressure, strategic planning, problem solving, influencing skills, good understanding of construction methods, problem solving and interpersonal skill.
Field Scheduler (Ref. No. 462487)
Based on site in Central Kalimantan
Reporting to the Senior Scheduler, this position will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the project schedule and to verify the reported status and progress as well as forecast the time to complete activities associated with the project. Responsibilities include providing support and services to construction managers and their teams in monitoring and auditing project schedules.
To be considered for this position you must have at least 5 - 8 years experience working in a variety of positions within a similar industry. Experience in project scheduling, cost estimating, construction responsibility and design and experience with Primavera PS software is highly desirable. A reputation for uncompromising integrity and honesty as well as being a good team player with perseverance to achieve goals and excellent interpersonal skills to interact at all levels, humor, highly motivated and excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
Port and Quality Engineer (Ref. No. 460655)
Based in Muara Tuhup Port
Reporting to the Port and Quality Senior Supervisor, this challenging position will be responsible for controlling crushing plant, stock pilling, blending and barging activities to achieve coal marketing target and spec quality target. Responsibilities include achieving the goal of “Zero Harm”.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 5 years experience working in a similar position within the mining industry and superintending in a shipping operation, with a history of Managing crushing/barging contractor and stockpile management and knowledge of laboratory operation. This position is based in Muara Tuhup port in Central Kalimantan on a rotation basis. An understanding of coal quality, blending principles, crushing, barging and shipping operations is highly desirable as well as good interpersonal skills, the ability to make decisions under pressure, a good knowledge of field safety management and a reputation of uncompromising integrity and honesty. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and good English skills is critical as well as the ability to work in a challenging environment.
Lead Structural Engineer (Ref. No. 460705)
Based in Jakarta
Reporting to the Maruwai Coal Projects Engineering Manager and Project Manager, this exciting and challenging position will be responsible for providing project engineering services support for the engineering team with respect to structural projects. Responsibilities include providing various pre designs and design services, preparing and presenting design proposals to the internal client and develop final construction design engineering as well as details for its construction.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 10 years experience working as a Structural Engineer role within the mining industry. This position is based in Jakarta Indonesia and will involve travel to other project offices in East and Central Kalimantan. Excellent interpersonal skills, good organization skills and good work ethic with the ability to be a team player is necessary for this position. A high level of English language skills is critical as well as the ability to work in a challenging environment.
